Head Coach – Mark Turgeon

Mark Turgeon is entering his sixth season at the helm of the University of Maryland men’s basketball team after leading the Terrapins to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament and their first berth in the Sweet 16 since 2003. Turgeon, who has won 25 or more games in three different seasons with the Terrapins, owns a 371-219 (.629) overall record in 18 seasons as a Division I head coach. He signed a four-year contract extension through the 2022-23 season on Oct. 27, 2016.

In his first five seasons at Maryland, Turgeon has compiled a 114-59 (.659) record – the most wins for a head coach in his first five years in program history. Turgeon's last two campaigns have added up to the second-most wins in school history over a two-year span (55). He has had the Terrapins ranked in the Associated Press top-25 for 35 consecutive weeks, including 20 weeks in the top-10. Maryland had previously not been ranked in the top-10 since Feb. 3, 2003, a span of 12 seasons.

Assistant Coach – Bino Ranson

Orlando "Bino" Ranson was hired as an assistant coach at Maryland in the summer of 2010 and is now entering his seventh season in College Park, including the sixth on the staff of head coach Mark Turgeon. During his time with Turgeon, Ranson and the Terps have collected 114 wins, the most in a five-year span in program history.

Ranson played a major part in helping lead the Terps to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a berth in the Sweet Sixteen during the 2015-16 season. It marked the Terps’ longest run in the NCAA Tournament since 2003. In the 2015-16 season, Maryland started 15-1 – the best start in program history and finished the campaign with a 27-9 overall record No. 12 ranking in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Assistant Coach – Matt Brady

Head coach Mark Turgeon announced the addition of Matt Brady as the director of player personnel for the Maryland men’s basketball program on July 10, 2017. Brady was elevated to the role of assistant coach in June of 2018 prior to his second season on staff for the Terrapins.

Brady, who has nearly 30 years of experience as a coach at the Division I level, including 12 as a head coach, comes to Maryland after serving as an assistant coach at La Salle the past season. Brady will be reunited with Maryland assistant coach Bino Ranson, who was an assistant under Brady while at Marist.

Assistant Coach – DeAndre Haynes

Widely regarded as one of the fastest rising coaches in the country, DeAndre Haynes was officially announced as assistant coach by Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon on June 10, 2019.

Haynes most recently spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the University of Michigan men's basketball program, where he was instrumental in working with the Wolverine backcourt and offensive strategies.

“Throughout the hiring process I was very deliberate about finding the right fit for our coaching staff and we hit a home run with DeAndre,” Turgeon said. “DeAndre is one of the brightest up and coming coaches in the business and has gained experience working for some of the most well-respected coaches in the country. He was an exceptional point guard during his playing days and he possesses a contagious personality that will fit well with our staff and players. We are excited to welcome DeAndre and his family to College Park.”

Director of Basketball Operations – Mark Bialkoski (Camp Director)

Mark Bialkoski was elevated to the role of director of basketball operations in June of 2018 after serving three seasons as the program's video coordinator.

In his first season at Maryland, the Terps won 27 games, finished No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2003.

Video Coordinator – Greg Manning Jr. (Camp Director)

Maryland men’s head basketball coach Mark Turgeon announced the addition of Greg Manning Jr. as the team’s video coordinator in June of 2018.

Manning comes to Maryland after recently serving as an assistant coach under Jimmy Patsos at Siena since 2013. Manning helped guide the Saints to the program's first MAAC Championship Game appearance in seven years during the 2016-17 campaign. Siena won 13 of its final 19 contests to amass a 17-17 overall record and finish tied for third in the MAAC with a 12-8 league mark.
